The AK3 birc6 (Catalog #MBS831549) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s AK3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Western Blot (WB).FC: 1:100
WB: 1:500-2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AK3 birc6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The AK3 birc6 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #153792694) (NCBI Accession #NP_057336) (Uniprot Accession #Q9NR09). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the AK3 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant AK3 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with AK3 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal AK3 antibody.
Biological Significance: Adenylate kinase is an ubiquitous monomeric enzyme involved energy metabolism of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Three isozymes (Ak1, Ak2 and Ak3) are characterized in vertebrates. Ak1 is present in the cytosol of skeletal muscle, brain, and erythrocyte, while Ak2 is localized in the intermembrane space of mitochondria of liver, kidney, spleen and heart. Ak3, called GTP:AMP phosphotransferase, exists in the mitochondrial matrix of liver and heart. These isozymes contribute to homeostasis of the adenine nucleotide composition in the cell. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: AK3 antibody was raised in mouse using a full length recombinant protein of human AK3 (NP_057336) produced in HEK293T cells, as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing AK3 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as AK3 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. AK3 also interacts with the following gene(s): BIRC7, CASP3, CASP7, CASP9, DIABLO, HTRA2, RNF41, UBC, USP8. Bone Marrow, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Placenta, Skin, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein. Adenocarcinoma, Brain Diseases, Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Hepatocellular, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Experimental, Nervous System Diseases, Ovarian Neoplasms, Prostatic Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to AK3 antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
