The AKT1 akt1 (Catalog #MBS5310907) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s AKT1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB).ELISA: 1:10,000
WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AKT1 akt1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The AKT1 akt1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #18027298) (NCBI Accession #AAL55732.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

The serine-threonine protein kinase AKT1 is catalytically inactive in serum-starved primary and immortalized fibroblasts. AKT1 and the related AKT2 are activated by platelet-derived growth factor. The activation is rapid and specific, and it is abrogated by mutations in the pleckstrin homology domain of AKT1. It was shown that the activation occurs through phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase. In the developing nervous system AKT is a critical mediator of growth factor-induced neuronal survival.
Immunogen: AKT1 antibody was raised in Mouse using a purified recombinant fragment of human AKT1 expressed in E Coli as the immunogen. Cross-Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Monkey. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing AKT1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as AKT1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. AKT1 also interacts with the following gene(s): CDKN1B, FOXO1, GSK3B, HSP90AA1, MDM2, MTOR, PTEN, TERT, TSC2, UBC. Blood, Brain, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Nerve, Prostate, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Breast Neoplasms, Cardiovascular Diseases, Drug Toxicity, Inflammation, Lung Neoplasms, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Experimental, Nervous System Diseases, Prostatic Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to AKT1 antibody.
