The AKT2 akt2 (Catalog #MBS533430) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s AKT2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).WB: 1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AKT2 akt2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The AKT2 akt2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4502023) (NCBI Accession #NP_001617) (Uniprot Accession #P31751). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the AKT2 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (Western Blot analysis using AKT2 antibody
Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant AKT2 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with AKT2 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal AKT2 antibody.
Biological Significance: AKT2 is a member of a subfamily of serine/threonine kinases containing SH2-like (Src homology 2-like) domains. The gene was shown to be amplified and overexpressed in 2 of 8 ovarian carcinoma cell lines and 2 of 15 primary ovarian tumors. Overexpression contributes to the malignant phenotype of a subset of human ductal pancreatic cancers. The encoded protein is a general protein kinase capable of phophorylating several known proteins. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: AKT2 antibody was raised in mouse using a full length recombinant protein of human AKT2 (NP_001617) produced in HEK293T cells, as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing AKT2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as AKT2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. AKT2 also interacts with the following gene(s): FOXO1, FOXO3, FOXO4, INS, MTOR, PHLPP1, TBC1D4, TCL1B, TSC1, TSC2. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain Diseases, Breast Neoplasms, Cardiovascular Diseases, Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Lung Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Experimental, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to AKT2 antibody. Adipose Tissue, Blood, Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Heart, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
