The ALB alb (Catalog #MBS475854) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-human Albumin Mouse mAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Albumin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ALB alb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The ALB alb product has the following accession number(s) (GI #178344) (NCBI Accession #AAA98797.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-human Albumin Mouse mAb with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis using human Albumin mouse mAb (lane 3, 4) and human IgG mouse mAb (lane 1, 2) against human serum (lane 1, 3) and plasma (lane 2, 4).)
Entrez Summary: Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein which comprises about one-half of the blood serum protein. Albumin functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones and plays a role in stabilizing extracellular fluid volume. Albumin is a globular unglycosylated serum protein of molecular weight 65, 000. Albumin is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin which has an N-terminal peptide that is removed before the nascent protein is released from the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The product, proalbumin, is in turn cleaved in the Golgi vesicles to produce the secreted albumin.
Immunogen: Human sera albumin. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ALB are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ALB may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Hypertension, Kidney Diseases, Kidney Failure, Chronic, Liver Cirrhosis, Nephritis, Proteinuria, Respiratory Tract Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Anti-human Albumin Mouse mAb. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Placenta, Spleen, Uterus tissues are correlated with this protein.
