The ALDOB aldob (Catalog #MBS831784) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s ALDOB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ALDOB aldob for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ALDOB aldob product has the following accession number(s) (GI #40354205) (NCBI Accession #NP_000026) (Uniprot Accession #P05062). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the ALDOB antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (Western Blot analysis using ALDOB antibody
Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant ALDOB protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with ALDOB antibody)
Mouse monoclonal ALDOB antibody.
Biological Significance: ALDOB is a tetrameric glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the reversible conversion of fructose-1, 6-bisphosphate to glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate and dihydroxyacetone phosphate. Vertebrates have 3 aldolase isozymes which are distinguished by their electrophoretic and catalytic properties. Differences indicate that aldolases A, B, and C are distinct proteins, the products of a family of related \'housekeeping\' genes exhibiting developmentally regulated expression of the different isozymes. The developing embryo produces aldolase A, which is produced in even greater amounts in adult muscle where it can be as much as 5% of total cellular protein. In adult liver, kidney and intestine, aldolase An expression is repressed and aldolase B is produced. In brain and other nervous tissue, aldolase An and C are expressed about equally. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: ALDOB antibody was raised in mouse using a full length recombinant protein of human ALDOB (NP_000026) produced in HEK293T cells, as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ALDOB are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ALDOB may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Kidney, Liver, Muscle, Spleen tissues are correlated with this protein. Adenocarcinoma, Carcinoma, Hepatocellular, Congenital Abnormalities, Death, Fatty Liver, Fibrosis, Fructose Intolerance, Hepatomegaly, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to ALDOB antibody.
