The Alginate n/a (Catalog #MBS802586) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Alginate Antibody: ATTO 488 reacts with Species Independent and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Alginate can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Alginate n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. To buy or view more detailed product information and pricing, please click on the technical datasheet page below:
Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Alginate Antibody: ATTO 488 with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry analysis using Mouse Anti-Alginate Monoclonal Antibody, Clone 4B10-1C5. Tissue: Burned Skin. Species: Human. Primary Antibody: Mouse Anti-Alginate Monoclonal Antibody at 1:200.)
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of ALL BSA-Alginate Conjugate showing detection of ~250 kDa Alginate protein using Mouse Anti-Alginate Monoclonal Antibody, Clone 4B10-1C5. Lane 1: MW ladder. Lane 2: 0.625ug BSA:Alginate. Load: 0.625 ug. Block: 5% milk + TBST for 1 hour at RT. Primary Antibody: Mouse Anti-Alginate Monoclonal Antibody at 1:500 for 1 hour at RT. Secondary Antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Mouse at 1:100 for 1 hour at RT. Color Development: TMB solution for 2 min at RT. Predicted/Observed Size: ~250 kDa.)
Background Info: Binds selectively to a BSA-conjugated alginate, but not to unconjugated BSA.
Scientific Background: Sodium alginate is used in biological experiments for the immobilization of cells and encapsulation due to its biocompatibility and simple gelation with divalent cations such as Ca2+. Studies suggest that preparation of alginate microspheres will sustain protein delivery within tissue scaffolds (1), as well as in many other cell types (2).
Conjugate: ATTO 488. Storage Buffer: PBS pH7.4, 50% glycerol. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Alginate are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Alginate may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
