Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the AP2M1 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant AP2M1 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with AP2M1 antibody)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected with recombinant AP2M1 protein using AP2M1 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal AP2M1 antibody.
Biological Significance: AP2M1 is a subunit of the heterotetrameric coat assembly protein complex 2 (AP2), which belongs to the adaptorcomplexes medium subunits family. AP2M1 is required for the activity of a vacuolar ATPase, which isresponsible for proton pumping occurring in the acidification of endosomes and lysosomes. AP2M1 may alsoplay an important role in regulating the intracellular trafficking and function of CTLA-4 protein. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: AP2M1 antibody was raised in mouse using a human recombinant protein fragment corresponding to amino acids 97-383 of human AP2M1 (NP_001020376) produced in E Coli as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing AP2M1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as AP2M1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain, Heart, Liver, Pancreas tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Carcinoma, Hepatocellular, Fibrosis, Hepatitis, Liver Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to AP2M1 antibody.
