The BLK blk (Catalog #MBS850864) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BLK Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s BLK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA).IHC: 1:200-1:1000
ELISA: 1:10000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BLK blk for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The BLK blk product has the following accession number(s) (GI #33469982) (NCBI Accession #NP_001706.2) (Uniprot Accession #P51451). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the BLK Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Figure 1. Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human breast tissue (A), lymph tissue (B) and skin carcinoma (C), showing membrane localization using BLK mouse mAb with DAB)
BLK (B lymphoid tyrosine kinase), with 505-amino acid protein (about 56KDa), belongs to the Src non-receptor tyrosine kinases family.Different subcellular localizations of Src-family kinases may be important for the regulation of specific cellular processes such as mitogenesis, cytoskeletal organization, and membrane trafficking.Blk is expressed exclusively by B lymphocytes and it is thought to function in a signal transductory pathway specific to this lineage. B lymphoid expression of an active Blk mutant caused proliferation of B progenitor cells and enhanced responsiveness of these cells to interleukin 7. Thus, sustained activation of Blk induces responses normally associated with the pre-BCR.
Immunogen: Purified recombinant fragment of BLK expressed in E. Coli. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing BLK are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as BLK may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. BLK also interacts with the following gene(s): BCL2, BCR, CBL, CD79A, CD79B, FCGR2A, FCGR2B, PLCG2. Arthritis, Rheumatoid, Brain Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Drug Toxicity, Immune System Diseases, Inflammation, Lupus Erythematosus, Systemic, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to BLK Antibody.
