The Bone morphogenetic protein bmp4 (Catalog #MBS565106) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BMP4 monoclonal antibody (26H16) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s BMP4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).Western Blot (1ug/ml, ECL)
Suggested dilutions/conditions may not be available for all applications.
Detects bands of ~54kDa, ~42kDa and ~23kDa by Western blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Bone morphogenetic protein bmp4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Bone morphogenetic protein bmp4 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #115073) (NCBI Accession #P12644.1) (Uniprot Accession #P12644). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the BMP4 monoclonal antibody (26H16) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of BMP4. Lane 1, 3: MW, Lane 2: MKN-48, Lane 4: recombinant human BMP4.)
Bone morphogenic protein 4 (BMP4) is a member of the TGF-beta superfamily that plays a critical role in mammalian mesenchymal development, influencing hematopoeisis and osteoblast differentiation and function. BMP-4 is secreted as 54 kDa inactive precursor peptides that dimerize and are activated following cleavage by members of the proprotein convertase family. Active BMP-4 binds type I and type II serine/threonine kinase receptors which signal via phosphorylation of Smad family proteins. BMP-4 and the highly homologous BMP-2 are functional orthologues of the decapentaplegic (dpp) gene in Drosophila that regulates embryonic leg and wing imaginal disc patterning and larval gut development.
Immunogen: Recombinant full length human BMP4. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Bone morphogenetic protein are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Bone morphogenetic protein may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Adenocarcinoma, Brain Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Heart Diseases, Hypertension, Inflammation, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to BMP4 monoclonal antibody (26H16). Bone morphogenetic protein also interacts with the following gene(s): BMPR1A, BMPR1B, BMPR2, CHRD, FST, GREM1, NOG, SHH, SMAD5, SMAD9.
