The Bu-1a n/a (Catalog #MBS4152129) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Chicken Bu-1a-FITC Conjugate Antibody reacts with Avian and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Bu-1a can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Bu-1a n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. To buy or view more detailed product information and pricing, please click on the technical datasheet page below:
Chicken Bu-1a, a product of the Bu-1a allele, is expressed on the cell surface as a disulfide-linked homodimer. In 10-week-old H.B15 and H.B2 chickens, Bu-1 is found on 85-90% of bursal cells, 2-8% of thymocytes, 15-27% of spleen cells, and 2-18% of peripheral blood cells. It is also expressed on subsets of macrophages and monocytes, but not on granulocytes, erythrocytes or thrombocytes. In chickens heterozygous for the Bu-1 alleles (Bu-1a/b), Bu-1a does not exhibit allelic exclusion. The monoclonal antibody 21-1A4 does not react with cells from CHA and H.B15 strains by immunofluorescence.
Storage Buffer: PBS, pH 7.4 with 0.05% sodium azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Bu-1a are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Bu-1a may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
