The CD16 fcgr3a (Catalog #MBS666043) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The anti-human CD16-Purified (with Antibiotics) reacts with Human, Monkey and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD16 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), (Not WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD16 fcgr3a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The CD16 fcgr3a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #8176551) (NCBI Accession #AAB33925.2). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Testing Data
Information: Human CD16 is a low affinity receptor for complexed IgG and occurs in two distinct forms, as a glycosyl phosphtidyl inositol (GPI) anchored protein in granulocytes, and as an integral membrane protein on NK cells and macrophages. Antibody 3G8 recognizes both allelic forms of CD16. Antibody 3G8 blocks binding of complexed IgG to CD16.
Performance: Five x 105 ficoll prepared human peripheral blood mononuclear cells were incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80 ul of anti-CD16 antibody at 1 ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with 2 degree reagent Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. A net 14% sub population of the cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.8 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control at a similar concentration. Production: Antibody was Protein A purified from (low FBS containing) tissue culture supernatant. Purity was >95% Immunoglobulin by SDS-PAGE and contains less than 1% Bovine Immunoglobulin.
Buffer: 50 mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5, 100 mM Potassium Chloride, 150mM NaCl, 0.5 mg/ml Gentamicin Sulfate (as a preservative).
Group Header: anti-human CD16
Immunogen: Human polymorphonuclear leukocytes. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD16 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD16 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Cardiovascular Diseases, Inflammation, Intestinal Diseases, Kidney Diseases, Leukemia, Lupus Erythematosus, Systemic, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Experimental are some of the diseases may be linked to anti-human CD16-Purified (with Antibiotics).
