The CD161 n/a (Catalog #MBS666107) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The anti-human CD161(NKR-P1A)-Purified Preservative Free reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD161 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD161 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. To buy or view more detailed product information and pricing, please click on the technical datasheet page below:
Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the anti-human CD161(NKR-P1A)-Purified Preservative Free with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data
Information: Human CD161 is a homodimeric disulfide-linked type II membrane bound glycoprotein found mainly on NK cells. CD161 has been implicated in the regulation of NK cell mediated cytotoxicity. Antibody B199.2 recognizes the dimeric 160 kd CD161 molecule.
Performance: Five x 105 ficoll prepared human peripheral blood mononuclear cells per tube were pre incubated 5 minutes with 250 ug/ml human IgG (to block non specific binding), after which they were incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80 ul of anti-CD161 antibody at 10 ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with 2 degree reagent Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. A net 22% sub population of the cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.08 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG2b negative control at a similar concentration. Production: Antibody was Protein A purified from (low FBS containing) tissue culture supernatant. Purity was >95% Immunoglobulin by SDS-PAGE and contains less than 1% Bovine Immunoglobulin. Product was 0.2 um filtered and vialed under aseptic conditions.
Buffer: 50 mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5, 100 mM Potassium Chloride, 150mM NaCl
Immunogen: Activated human NK cells. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD161 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD161 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
