The CD178, Low Endotoxin n/a (Catalog #MBS6009772) is an Antibody produced from Hamster and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD178, Low Endotoxin (Apt1lg1, CD95 Ligand, CD95L, CD95-L, Fas Antigen Ligand, Fas Ligand, Faslg, Fasl, Fas-L, gld, Tumor Necrosis Factor Ligand Superfamily Member 6, Tnfsf6) reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD178, Low Endotoxin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Functional Assays.
Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:25-1:200; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD178, Low Endotoxin n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

CD178, otherwise known as Fas Ligand/ CD95L, is a 40kD type II transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the TNF/NGF superfamily, expressed by activated T cells and NK cells, which can be induced on a variety of cells by radiation, heat shock, chemotherapeutic agents and viral infection.

CD178 acts as a key effector of cytotoxicity and in the regulation of immune responses. The binding of CD178 to its receptor CD95 (Fas), induces Fas-mediated apoptosis of target cells, and may be involved in the induction of peripheral tolerance and neutrophil chemotaxis. The binding of decoy receptor 3 (DcR3) to CD178 has been shown to inhibit CD178-mediated apoptosis.
C2442-32M1 is reported to block CD178/CD95 induced apoptosis.

CD178, Low Endotoxin n/a

Immunogen: B6 mouse FasL/BHK cells.
Endotoxin Level: 1EU/ug. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD178, Low Endotoxin are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD178, Low Endotoxin may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
