The CD18 n/a (Catalog #MBS475918) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-CD18 Mouse mAb reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD18 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD18 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The CD18 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #185133705) (NCBI Accession #NP_001117907.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-CD18 Mouse mAb with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Confocal immunofluorescence analysis of HL60 cells using CD18 mouse mAb (green). Blue)
Immunofluorescence (IF) CD18.

Immunofluorescence (IF) (Confocal immunofluorescence analysis of BCBL-1 cells (left) and L1210 cells (right) using CD18 mouse mAb (red). Blue)
Immunofluorescence (IF) CD18.

Entrez Summary: CD18, also known as ITGB2 (integrin beta chain beta 2). Integrins are integral cell-surface proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. A given chain may combine with multiple partners resulting in different integrins. For example, beta 2 combines with the alpha L chain to form the integrin LFA-1, and combines with the alpha M chain to form the integrin Mac-1. Integrins are known to participate in cell adhesion as well as cell-surface mediated signalling. CD18 is expressed by most leucocytes. Defects in this gene are the cause of leukocyte adhesion deficiency type I (LAD1). Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene.

Immunogen: Purified recombinant fragment of CD18 expressed in E Coli. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD18 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD18 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Ear, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Muscle, Umbilical Cord, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
