The CD209B  n/a (Catalog #MBS2544590) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti Mouse CD209B  Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD209B  can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA).
ELISA: 0.1-0.2 mug/mL. This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 mug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Mouse CD209B. The detection limit for Mouse CD209B is approximately 0.0049 ng/well. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD209B  n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The CD209B  n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #281371434). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

The cluster of differentiation (CD) system is commonly used as cell markers in immunophynotyping. Different kinds of cells in the immune system can be identified through the surface CD molecules which associating with the immune function of the cell. There are more than 320 CD unique clusters and subclusters have been identified. Some of the CD molecules serve as receptors or ligands important to the cell through initiating a signal cascade which then alter the behavior of the cell. Some CD proteins do not take part in cell signal process but have other functions such as cell adhesion. CD209b, also known as SIGNR1, is a C-type lectin receptor. CD209b is present on most regions of mouse brain and found on microglia and dendritic cells but not on neurons or astrocytes. CD209b is implicated in the recently described SIGNR1 complement activation pathway, which operates against capsular polysaccharides in splenic marginal macrophages. CD209b in rat is homologue to SIGNR1 in mouse, both of which are found to mediate the uptake of dextran or CPS14 within the splenic marginal zone.

CD209B  n/a

Immunogen: Recombinant Mouse SIGNR1/CD209b protein
Buffer: This antibody was obtained from a rabbit immunized with purified, recombinant Mouse SIGNR1/CD209b (rM SIGNR1/CD209b; NP_081248.2; Gln 74-Gly 325). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD209B  are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD209B  may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
