The CD21 n/a (Catalog #MBS520652) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Human CD21, APC (clone:21A/5) (Mouse IgG1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD21 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC).This antibody is suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (Frozen) and Flow Cytometry. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD21 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

Testing Data
anti-Human CD21 monoclonal antibody specifically binds human CD21, also known as Complement component (3d/Epstein Barr virus) receptor 2 (CR2). CD21 is a protein expressed on mature B cells and follicular dendritic cells, and is weakly expressed on immature thymocytes and T lymphocytes. CD21 binds to C3d, C3dg, and iC3b in the complement system. Other ligands include Epstein Barr virus and Interferon alpha. CD21 plays a role in B cell activation by binding to CD23 and forming a co-receptor complex with CD19, CD81, and Leu13.
Immunization: Mouse monoclonal antibodies raised against human CD21.
Presentation: Biotin/FITC/PE/APC conjugated IgG buffered in PBS, 0.02% NaN3 and EIA grade BSA as a stabilizing protein to bring total protein concentration to 4-5 mg/ml. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD21 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD21 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
