|The CD4 cd4 (Catalog #MBS417786) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Mouse CD4 Antibody reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), CyTOF Label-Ready. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD4 cd4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CD4 cd4 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #3947700) (NCBI Accession #CAA60883.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q13969). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

The Anti-Mouse CD4 Antibody (GK1.5) specifically binds to the CD4 (L3T4) differentiation antigen, a 55 kDa cell surface receptor, expressed on thymocytes, subpopulation of mature T cells, subset of NK-T cells and splenic dendritic cells. CD4 is also found on intrathymic lymphoid precursors, pluirpotent hematopoietic stem cells and bone marrow myeloid precursors. CD4 binds to MHC class II on the surface of antigen-presenting cells and participates both in T cell activation and functionality. It has been reported that GK1.5 blocks CD4 binding of RM4-5 and H129.19 antibody. This antibody is CyTOF Label Ready and can be used directly for rare metal conjugation using MaxPar metal labeling kits (Fluidigm). CyTOF or mass cytometry uses rare metal conjugated antibodies to simultaneously profile over 40 different proteins on and within a single cell. CyTOF antibodies have the advantage over the traditional flow cytometry for its minimal signal overlap and simplified high-dimensional panel design for simultaneously profiling the phenotype and function of all cells. Each lot of CyTOF Label Ready antibody is guaranteed for its activity and high purity.
In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. CD4 also interacts with the following gene(s): CCR5, CD2, CD38, CD69, CD8A, FOXP3, IL2RA, LCK, PTPRC. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Bone, Bone Marrow, Brain, Intestine, Liver, Lung, Lymph Node, Spleen, Thymus tissues are correlated with this protein.
