The Anti-Mouse CD4 Antibody (GK1.5) specifically binds to the CD4 (L3T4) differentiation antigen, a 55 kDa cell surface receptor, expressed on thymocytes, subpopulation of mature T cells, subset of NK-T cells and splenic dendritic cells. CD4 is also found on intrathymic lymphoid precursors, pluirpotent hematopoietic stem cells and bone marrow myeloid precursors. CD4 binds to MHC class II on the surface of antigen-presenting cells and participates both in T cell activation and functionality. It has been reported that GK1.5 blocks CD4 binding of RM4-5 and H129.19 antibody. This antibody is CyTOF Label Ready and can be used directly for rare metal conjugation using MaxPar metal labeling kits (Fluidigm). CyTOF or mass cytometry uses rare metal conjugated antibodies to simultaneously profile over 40 different proteins on and within a single cell.
