The CD44 cd44 (Catalog #MBS666034) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The anti-human CD44-Purified (with Antibiotics) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD44 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), FX, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD44 cd44 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The CD44 cd44 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #685122) (NCBI Accession #AAB30429.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the anti-human CD44-Purified (with Antibiotics) with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data
Testing Data CD44.

Information: Human CD44 molecules appear to serve as lymphocyte adhesion molecules with numerous functions in extracellular matrix binding, cell migration, hemopoisis, and lymphocyte homing. Antibody BU52 recognizes epitope 1 of the CD44 molecule, and is useful for Western Blot (4).

Performance: Five x 105 ficoll prepared human peripheral blood mononuclear cells were pre incubated ~5 minutes with 300 ug/ml human IgG (to block nonspecific binding), after which they were incubated with 80 ul of anti-CD44(epitope 1) antibody at 5 ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with 2 degree reagent Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. A 97% population of the cells stained positive with a mean shift of 2.36 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control at a similar concentration. Production: Antibody was Protein A purified from (low FBS containing) tissue culture supernatant. Purity was >95% Immunoglobulin by SDS-PAGE with less than 1% Bovine Immunoglobulin.
Buffer: 50 mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5, 100 mM Potassium Chloride, 150mM NaCl, 0.5 mg/ml Gentamicin Sulfate (as a preservative).
Group Header: anti-human CD44
Immunogen: Human peripheral myeloma cells. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD44 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD44 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
