|The CD48 cd48 (Catalog #MBS666006) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The anti-human CD48-FITC reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD48 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).
1:50 (or use 1.6ul of concentrated stock per 5 x 105-cell test)). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD48 cd48 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CD48 cd48 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #365733590) (NCBI Accession #NP_001242959.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the anti-human CD48-FITC with the following immunoassay(s):
Information: Human CD48 is a GPI anchored cell surface gylcoprotein found on all lymphocytes and monocytes. CD48 is a ligand for CD2 and may be involved in enhancing the activating signal to B cells. Antibody 5-4.8 recognizes epitope 4 of the CD48 molecule of 47 kd (4).
Performance: Five x 105 cultured human Raji cells per tube were washed and incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80 ul of anti-CD48/FITC at a 1:50 dilution (5 ug/ml). Cells were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.80 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG2a/FITC negative control at a similar concentration. Binding was blocked when cells were pre incubated 10 minutes with 20 ul of 0.5 mg/ml anti-CD48 antibody. Conjugation: FITC
Production: Antibody from (low FBS containing) tissue culture supernatant was Protein A purified and reacted with FITC. Unconjugated FITC was removed from conjugate using a desalting column. Antibody conjugate is at 0.25 mg/ml with a Fluorescein/IgG molar ratio of 8.4.
Buffer: 50 mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5, 100 mM Potassium Chloride, 150mM NaCl, 5% Glycerol, 0.2% BSA, 0.04% NaN3 (as a preservative).
Immunogen: Human PBLs. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD48 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD48 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
