The CD49d n/a (Catalog #MBS532404) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD49d antibody reacts with Murine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD49d can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD49d n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. To buy or view more detailed product information and pricing, please click on the technical datasheet page below:
Rat monoclonal CD49d antibody.
Biological Significance: CD49d is an integrin alpha subunit. It makes up half of the alpha4Beta1 lymphocyte homing receptor. The product of this gene belongs to the integrin alpha chain family of proteins. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. This gene encodes an alpha 4 chain. Unlike other integrin alpha chains, alpha 4 neither contains an I-domain, nor undergoes disulfide-linked cleavage. Alpha 4 chain associates with either beta 1 chain or beta 7 chain. Immunogen: CD49d antibody was raised in rat using the alpha-4 chain of the VLA-4 integrin heterodimer as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD49d are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD49d may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
