The CD5 cd5 (Catalog #MBS213072) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s CD5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Frozen, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistology Paraffin*.Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul.
Flow Cytometry: Maximum Dilution: 1/100
Immunohistology - Paraffin: Application Note: The use of PLP fixation is recommended for optimal results. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD5 cd5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CD5 cd5 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #9506471) (NCBI Accession #NP_062168.1) (Uniprot Accession #P51882). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the MOUSE ANTI RAT CD5 with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (Staining of rat lymph node cells with Mouse anti Rat CD5: FITC (MBS211051))
Testing Data (Staining of rat splenocytes with Mouse anti Rat CD5:FITC )
Mouse anti Rat CD5 antibody, clone OX-19 recognizes the rat CD5 cell surface antigen, a 69kD glycoprotein expressed by T cells, thymocytes and a subset of B cells. Mouse anti Rat CD5 antibody, clone OX-19 has been reported as being suitable for use on periodate-lysine paraformaldehyde (PLP) fixed paraffin embedded tissue (Whiteland et al. 1995). Mouse anti Rat CD5 antibody, clone OX-19 is routinely tested in flow cytometry on rat splenocytes.
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.09% Sodium Azide
Preparation: Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography on Protein G. Immunogen: Rat thymocyte glycoproteins
Fusion Partners: Spleen cells from an immunised BALB/c mouse were fused with cells from the NS1 mouse myeloma cell line.
Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline
Target Species: Rat. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD5 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD5 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Heart, Lung, Pancreas, Placenta, Small Intestine, Thymus tissues are correlated with this protein. CD5 also interacts with the following gene(s): Cd19, Cd2, Cd4, Cd69, Cd72, Csk, Fyn, Il4, Lck, Ptpn6.
