The CD8 n/a (Catalog #MBS5309347) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD8 antibody (PE) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD8 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).FC/FACS: = 0.25 ug/test
A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 105 to 108 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD8 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CD8 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #76786711) (NCBI Accession #ABA55041.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the CD8 antibody (PE) with the following immunoassay(s):
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Staining of normal human peripheral blood cells with CD4 antibody (FITC) and CD8a antibody (PE).)
The RPA-T8 monoclonal antibody reacts with the human CD8a molecule, an approximately 32-34 kDa cell surface receptor expressed either as a heterodimer with the CD8 beta chain or as a homodimer. A majority of thymocytes and a subpopulation of mature T cells and NK cells express CD8a. CD8 binds to MHC class I and through its association with protein tyrosine kinase p56lck plays a role in T-cell development and activation of mature T cells.
Conjugate: PE. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD8 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD8 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
