|The CD80 n/a (Catalog #MBS666470) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The anti-human CD80 (B7-1)-Purified (with Antibiotics) reacts with Human, Primate, Pig and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD80 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Blocking. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD80 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CD80 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #119331110) (NCBI Accession #NP_001073207.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the anti-human CD80 (B7-1)-Purified (with Antibiotics) with the following immunoassay(s):
Information: Human CD80 (B7-1) is a costimulatory ligand for CD28 and CTLA-4. CD80 is expressed on activated B cells. Antibody BB1 recognizes the CD80 molecule of 60 kd. Antibody BB1 blocks adhesion to CD28/CTLA-4, blocks Th induced B cell Ig synthesis and blocks binding of soluble CD152 Ig fusion protein to CD80.
Performance: Five x 105 cultured Raji human tumor cells were washed and incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80 ul of anti-CD80 antibody at 5 ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with 20 reagent Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.08 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgM negative control at a similar concentration. Production: Antibody from (low FBS containing) tissue culture supernatant was purified to 95% mouse immunoglobulin by SDS-PAGE (<1% bovine immunoglobulin) using size exclusion chromatography
Buffer: 50 mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5, 500 mM Potassium Chloride, 150mM NaCl, 0.5 mg/ml Gentamicin Sulfate (as a preservative).
Group Header: anti-human CD80 (B7-1)
Immunogen: Transformed B lymphoblastoid cells (Baboon). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD80 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD80 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
