The CD85j n/a (Catalog #MBS834735) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s CD85j can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).
FC: 5 ul (0.03 ug)/test

A test is defined as the amount (ug)/test of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD85j n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the CD85j antibody (allophycocyanin) with the following immunoassay(s):
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Staining of normal human peripheral blood cells with Mouse IgG1 K Isotype Control (blue histogram) or Anti-Human CD85j (ILT) (purple histogram). Cells in the monocyte gate were used for analysis.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) CD85j.

Mouse monoclonal CD85j antibody (allophycocyanin).

Biological Significance: The monoclonal antibody HP-F1 recognizes CD85j, also known as ILT2, LILRB1, and LIR1. CD85j is a member of the ILT /LIR /MIR family. CD85j is a single transmembrane glycoprotein with a long cytoplasmic domain containing 4 ITIMs which signal through interactions with SHP-1. Expression is found on myeloid cells and some lymphoid cells including, subsets of NK, T and B cells. Expression has been correlated with leukemias such as ALL and CLL. Expression on CD8+ cells correlates with effector cell function and plays an important role in viral infections, including HIV, Ebstein Barr and CMV. The ligands for CD85j are MHC Class I molecules such as HLA-G, A, F, B27, E and F. The monoclonal antibody HP-F1 has been shown to reduce the amount of CD16- dependent cytolytic activity of functional NK cells. Tag/Conjugate: Allophycocyanin. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD85j are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD85j may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
