Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Cdc27 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot showing CDC27 antibody used against CDC27 (AA: 724-830)-hIgGFc transfected HEK293 cell.)
Mouse monoclonal Cdc27 antibody.
Biological Significance: Cdc27 shares strong similarity with Saccharomyces cerevisiae protein Cdc27, and the gene product of Schizosaccharomyces pombe nuc 2. It is a component of the Anaphase Promoting Complex (APC), which is composed of eight protein subunits and is highly conserved in eucaryotic cells. The APC catalyzes the formation of the cyclin B ubiquitin conjugate that is responsible for the ubiquitin mediated proteolysis of B type cyclins. This protein and 3 other members of the APC complex contain the TPR (tetratricopeptide repeat), a protein domain important for protein protein interaction. This protein was shown to interact with mitotic checkpoint proteins including Mad2, p55CDC and BUBR1, and thus may be involved in controlling the timing of mitosis. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: Cdc27 antibody was raised in Mouse using a purified recombinant fragment of human Cdc27 expressed in E Coli as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Cdc27 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Cdc27 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Bone, Bone Marrow, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Liver, Lung, Lymph Node, Nerve, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Cdc27 also interacts with the following gene(s): ANAPC10, ANAPC2, ANAPC4, ANAPC5, CDC16, CDC20, CDC23, FZR1.
