The CDH2 cdh2 (Catalog #MBS831446) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s CDH2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB).ELISA: 1:10,000
IF: 1:200-1:1000
IHC: 1:200-1:1000
WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CDH2 cdh2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CDH2 cdh2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #14589889) (NCBI Accession #NP_001783.2) (Uniprot Accession #P19022). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human Placenta tissues using CDH2 antibody)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human lung cancer (A), colon cancer (B), ovarian cancer (C) and mammary cancer(D), using CDH2 antibody with DAB staining.)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence analysis of A431 cells using CDH2 antibody (green). Blue: DRAQ5 fluorescent DNA dye.)
Mouse monoclonal CDH2 antibody.
Biological Significance: Cadherin 2 a classical cadherin from the cadherin superfamily. Cadherin 2 is a calcium dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein comprising five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region and a highly conserved cytoplasmic tail. The protein functions during gastrulation and is required for establishment of left-right asymmetry. At certain central nervous system synapses, presynaptic to postsynaptic adhesion is mediated at least in part by this gene product. Cross-Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat
Immunogen: CDH2 antibody was raised in Mouse using a purified recombinant fragment of human CDH2 expressed in E Coli as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CDH2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CDH2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. CDH2 also interacts with the following gene(s): CTNNA1, CTNNB1, CTNND1, FGFR1, GJA1, LRP5, MMP9. Bone, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Heart, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Prostate, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
