The CDK2 cdk2 (Catalog #MBS830556) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s CDK2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB).FC: 1:100
IF: 1:100
IHC: 1:150
WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CDK2 cdk2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CDK2 cdk2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #16936528) (NCBI Accession #NP_001789) (Uniprot Accession #P24941). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the CDK2 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant CDK2 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with CDK2 antibody)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of CDK2 protein in paraffin embedded Carcinoma of Human lung tissue using CDK2 antibody)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected with recombinant CDK2 protein using CDK2 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal CDK2 antibody.
Biological Significance: CDK2 is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. This protein kinase is highly similar to the gene products of S. cerevisiae cdc28, and S. pombe cdc2. It is a catalytic subunit of thecyclin-dependent protein kinase complex, whose activity is restricted to the G1-S phase, and essential for cell cycleG1/S phase transition. This protein associates with and regulated by the regulatory subunits of the complex includingcyclin An or E, CDK inhibitor p21Cip1 (CDKN1A) and p27Kip1 (CDKN1B). Its activity is also regulated by its protein phosphorylation. Two alternatively spliced variants and multiple transcription initiation sites of this gene have beenreported. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: CDK2 antibody was raised in mouse using a full length recombinant protein of human CDK2 (NP_001789) produced in HEK293T cells, as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CDK2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CDK2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. CDK2 also interacts with the following gene(s): CCNA1, CCNA2, CCNB1, CCNE1, CCNE2, CDC25A, CDKN1A, CDKN1B, RB1, RBL1.
