The CK-19 krt19 (Catalog #MBS2549916) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CK-19 Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CK-19 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin (IHC-p).
IHC: 1:1000-1:5000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CK-19 krt19 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The CK-19 krt19 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #24234699) (NCBI Accession #NP_002267.2) (Uniprot Accession #P08727). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the CK-19 Monoclonal Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) analysis of Human appendix tissue labeling CK-19 Monoclonal Antibody with E-PA-3316 at dilution of 1:1000. Heat induced epitope retrieval was performed by boiling the tissue sections in citrate buffer(PH6.0)for 20 minutes. Incubation with the primary antibody was performed for overnight at 4 degree C followed by keeping at room temperature for 15mins. HRP conjugated Anti-Mouse secondary antibody was applied for 30 minutes at room temperature followed by DAB as chromogen, thencounterstainwithhaematoxylin.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) CK-19.

KRT19 is a member of the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. The type I cytokeratins consist of acidic proteins which are arranged in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains. Unlike its related family members, this smallest known acidic cytokeratin is not paired with a basic cytokeratin in epithelial cells. It is specifically expressed in the periderm, the transiently superficial layer that envelopes the developing epidermis. Diseases associated with KRT19 include Anal Canal Adenocarcinoma and Thyroid Cancer. Among its related pathways are Signaling mediated by p38-alpha and p38-beta and Embryonic and Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell Differentiation Pathways and Lineage-specific Markers. This antibody reacts with the 40 kDa protein corresponding to cytokeratin 19 and labels many types of simple and non-keratinizing epithelia, including ductal and glandular epithelia. The antibody is an useful aid for classification of tumors of epithelial origin.

Function: Involved in the organization of myofibers. Together with KRT8, helps to link the contractile apparatus to dystrophin at the costameres of striated muscle.
Immunogen: Full length protein from eukaryotic expression system.
Buffer: Liquid in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide.
Conjugation: Unconjugated. Positive Control: Appendix, Esophagus
Cellular Localization: Cytoplasm. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CK-19 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CK-19 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
