The Clcn3 clcn3 (Catalog #MBS803314) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Clcn3 Antibody: HRP reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Clcn3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC).1ug/mL (WB), 0.1-1ug/mL (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Clcn3 clcn3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Clcn3 clcn3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #148298669) (NCBI Accession #NP_445815.2) (Uniprot Accession #P51792). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Clcn3 Antibody: HRP with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of Rat Brain Membrane showing detection of ~90 kDa CIcn3 protein using Mouse Anti-CIcn3 Monoclonal Antibody, Clone S258-5. Lane 1: Molecular Weight Ladder. Lane 2: Rat Brain Membrane. Load: 15 ug. Block: 2% BSA and 2% Skim Milk in 1X TBST. Primary Antibody: Mouse Anti-CIcn3 Monoclonal Antibody at 1:200 for 16 hours at 4 degree C. Secondary Antibody: Goat Anti-Mouse IgG: HRP at 1:1000 for 1 hour RT. Color Development: ECL solution for 6 min in RT. Predicted/Observed Size: ~90 kDa.)
Background Info: Detects ~90kDa. Does not cross-react with Clcn4 or Clcn5 (based on KO validation results)
Scientific Background: Clcn3 mediates the exchange of chloride ions against protons, and functions as an antiporter and contributes to the acidification of the endosome and synaptic vesicle lumen, and may thereby affect vesicle trafficking and exocytosis. It may play an important role in neuronal cell function through regulation of membrane excitability by protein kinase C. It could also help neuronal cells to establish short-term memory.
Conjugate: HRP. Storage Buffer: PBS pH7.4, 50% glycerol, 0.09% sodium azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Clcn3 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Clcn3 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Heart, Kidney, Lung, Pancreas tissues are correlated with this protein.
