The CTNNB1 ctnnb1 (Catalog #MBS533953) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CTNNB1 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CTNNB1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB).
ELISA: 1:10,000
FC: 1:200-1:400
IF: 1:200-1:1000
WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CTNNB1 ctnnb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The CTNNB1 ctnnb1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #148233338) (NCBI Accession #NP_001091679.1) (Uniprot Accession #P35222). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the CTNNB1 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot showing CTNNB1 antibody used against CTNNB1-hIgGFc transfected HEK293 cell lysate.)
Western Blot (WB) CTNNB1.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human Placenta tissues using CTNNB1 antibody)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) CTNNB1.

Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence analysis of A549 (left) and SK-BR-3 (right) cells using CTNNB1 antibody (green). Red: Actin filaments have been labeled with DY-554 phalloidin. Blue: DRAQ5 fluorescent DNA dye.)
Immunofluorescence (IF) CTNNB1.

Mouse monoclonal CTNNB1 antibody.

Biological Significance: CTNNB1 is part of a complex of proteins that constitute adherens junctions (AJs). AJs are necessary for the creation and maintenance of epithelial cell layers by regulating cell growth and adhesion between cells. The encoded protein also anchors the actin cytoskeleton and may be responsible for transmitting the contact inhibition signal that causes cells to stop dividing once the epithelial sheet is complete. Finally, this protein binds to the product of the APC gene, which is mutated in adenomatous polyposis of the colon. Immunogen: CTNNB1 antibody was raised in Mouse using a purified recombinant fragment of human CTNNB1 expressed in E Coli as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CTNNB1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CTNNB1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. CTNNB1 also interacts with the following gene(s): AXIN1, CDH1, CDH2, CDH5, CTNNA1, GSK3B, LEF1, PSEN1, TCF7L2.
