The CytokeRatin 10+13 / KeRatin K10+K13 n/a (Catalog #MBS570071) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti CytokeRatin 10+13 / KeRatin K10+K13 reacts with Feline, Human, Zebrafish and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CytokeRatin 10+13 / KeRatin K10+K13 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC), Immunocytochemistry (IHC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (frozen), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (paraffin), Western Blot (WB).DE-K13 is useful for immunoblotting, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry on frozen and paraffin-embedded tissues (see also above). For staining on paraffin-embedded tissues pretreatment with 0,1% pepsin in 0.1N HCl for 30 min at room tempeRature is required. Optimal antibody dilution should be determined by titRation; recommended range is 1:100 - 1:200 for flow cytometry, and for immunohistochemistry with avidin-biotinylated Horseradish peroxidase complex (ABC) as detection reagent, and 1:100 - 1:1000 for immunoblotting appliCations. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CytokeRatin 10+13 / KeRatin K10+K13 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

CytokeRatins are a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins and are characterized by a remarkable biochemical diversity, represented in Human epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides. They range in molecular weight between 40 kDa and 68 kDa and isoelectric pH between 4.9 - 7.8. The individual Human cytokeRatins are numbered 1 to 20. The various epithelia in the Human body usually express cytokeRatins which are not only characteristic of the type of epithelium, but also related to the degree of matuRation or differentiation within an epithelium. CytokeRatin subtype expression patterns are used to an increasing extent in the distinction of different types of epithelial malignancies. The cytokeRatin antibodies are not only of assistance in the differential identification of tumors using immunohistochemistry on tissue sections, but are also an useful tool in cytopathology and flow cytometric assays.
Source Note: DE-K13 is a Mouse monoclonal IgG2a, kappa antibody derived by fusion of SP2/0 Mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from a (BALB/c x B6)F1 Mouse immunized with a cytoskeletal prepaRation extracted from Human ectocervical epithelium. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CytokeRatin 10+13 / KeRatin K10+K13 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CytokeRatin 10+13 / KeRatin K10+K13 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
