The DDX17 ddx17 (Catalog #MBS602926) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DDX17 (DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) Box Polypeptide 17, DKFZp761H2016, RH70) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s DDX17 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Gel Shift Assay (GS/EMSA).Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Dot Blot and Western Blot.
Dilution: Western Blot: 0.2-2ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DDX17 ddx17 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The DDX17 ddx17 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #47678395) (Uniprot Accession #Q92841). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the DDX17 (DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) Box Polypeptide 17, DKFZp761H2016, RH70) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Detection of human DDX17 by Western blot uksing MBS602926. Samples: lane 1: Whole cell lysate from human HEK293 (H, 25ug), Lane 2: mouse NIH3T3 (25ug) and Lane 3: rat F2408 (25ug) cells.)
Testing Data (Staining analysis in HeLa cells. HeLa cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS. The cells were immunostained with MBS602926.)

DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and splicesosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. This gene encodes a DEAD box protein, which is an ATPase activated by a variety of RNA species, but not by dsDNA. This protein, and that encoded by DDX5 gene, are more closely related to each other than to any other member of the DEAD box family.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide near the C-terminus of human DDX17. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing DDX17 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as DDX17 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
