|The DSC2 dsc2 (Catalog #MBS2541896) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DSC2 Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s DSC2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA).
WB: 1:1000-1:4000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DSC2 dsc2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The DSC2 dsc2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #13435366) (NCBI Accession #NP_004940.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q02487). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the DSC2 Monoclonal Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK-293 cells using Desmocollin 2 Monoclonal Antibody at dilution of 1:2000.)
Desmocollin 2 (DSC2) is a member of the desmocollin subfamily of the cadherin superfamily. The desmocollins (DSC1-3), along with the desmogleins (DSG1-4), are found primarily in epithelia and cardiac muscle where they constitute the adhesive proteins of the intercellular desmosome junctions and are required for cell adhesion and desmosome formation. Mutations in DSC2 gene are associated with arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia-11.
Immunogen: Fusion protein of Desmocollin 2. Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, PH7.3
Conjugation: Unconjugated. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing DSC2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as DSC2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia, Familial, 11, Disease Models, Animal, Heart Defects, Congenital, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Kidney Neoplasms, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasm Metastasis are some of the diseases may be linked to DSC2 Monoclonal Antibody. Blood, Brain, Esophagus, Intestine, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Lymph Node, Mouth, Muscle tissues are correlated with this protein. DSC2 also interacts with the following gene(s): DSG1, DSG2, DSP, FOXN1, JUP, PKP1, PKP2, PKP3, TMEM43.
