The EGFR egfr (Catalog #MBS609410) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor, phosphorylated (Tyr1173) (erbB, EGFR) reacts with Canine, Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunocytochemistry (ICC).Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunocytochemistry.
Dilution: ELISA: 0.05ug/ml
Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml for HRP/ECL detection.
Immunoprecipitation: 1-10ug per 106 vanadate treated A431 cells.
Immunocytochemistry: 1-10ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EGFR egfr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The EGFR egfr product has the following accession number(s) (GI #326467049) (Uniprot Accession #P00533). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor, phosphorylated (Tyr1173) (erbB, EGFR) with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (Phosphospecificity: Whole cell extracts of control (co), EGF stimulated (EGF) or pervanadate treated (VH) A549 tumor cells were applied to SDS-PAGE (20,000 cells per lane) and transferred to a PVDF membrane. The blot was probed with 0.5ug/ml MBS609410 for 1 hour at RT and developed by ECL (exp. time: 30 sec).)
Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to human EGFR Activated phosphorylated Tyr 1173 (KLH). Positive Control: Lysate from PMA/pervanadate treated HepG2 cells. Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitute with 200ul ddH2O. After complete solubilization of the proteins, add 200ul SDS-PAGE sample buffer and incubate at 90 degree C for 5 minutes.
Western Blot : 20ul/lane HRP/ECL. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing EGFR are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as EGFR may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain, Eye, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Prostate, Skin, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. EGFR also interacts with the following gene(s): CBL, CTNNB1, EGF, ERBB2, ERBB3, ERBB4, GRB2, MAPK1, MET, STAT3.
