The Ephrin-A4 efna4 (Catalog #MBS690603) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rat Anti-Mouse Ephrin-A4 reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Ephrin-A4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Ephrin-A4 efna4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The Ephrin-A4 efna4 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #110835739) (NCBI Accession #NP_031936.2) (Uniprot Accession #O08542). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

EphrinA4, also known as LERK4 and EFL4 (1), is a member of the ephrin ligand family which binds members of the Eph receptor family. All ligands share a conserved extracellular sequence, which most likely corresponds to the receptor binding domain. This conserved sequence consists of approximately 125 amino acids and includes four invariant cysteines. The A-class ligands have a GPI anchor following the conserved sequence. EphrinA4 has been shown to bind EphA2, EphA3, EphA4, EphA5, EphA6, EphA7, and EphB1. The extracellular domains of human and mouse EphrinA4 share 80% amino acid identity. Only membrane-bound or Fc clustered ligands are capable of activating the receptor in vitro. While soluble monomeric ligands bind the receptor, they do not induce receptor autophosphorylation and activation. In vivo, the ligands and receptors display reciprocal expression. It has been found that nearly all receptors and ligands are expressed in developing and adult neural tissue. The Eph/ephrin families also appear to play a role in angiogenesis.
Antibody Generation: This antibody was produced from a hybridoma (mouse myeloma fused with spleen cells from a rat) immunized with mouse recombinant protein of Ephrin-A4. Reconstitution: Reconstitute the antibody with 200 ul sterile PBS and the final concentration is 500 ug/ml. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Ephrin-A4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Ephrin-A4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Intestine tissues are correlated with this protein. Bone Diseases, Chromosome Aberrations, Colonic Neoplasms, Immune System Diseases, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Rat Anti-Mouse Ephrin-A4.
