Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the ErbB-2/HER-2 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data
Testing Data #2 (Western blot analysis of Hela cell lysate (lane 1) and mouse brain (lane 2) with ErbB-2/HER-2 mAb diluted at 1:4,000.
IHC staining of human breast cancer tissue with ErbB-2/HER-2 mouse mAb(11H9) diluted at 1:200.)
ErbB 2 is a receptor tyrosine kinase of the ErbB 2 family. It is closely related instructure to the epidermal growth factor receptor. ErbB 2 oncoprotein is detectable in a proportion of breast and other adenocarconomas, as well as transitional cell carcinomas. In the case of breast cancer, expression determined by immunohistochemistry has been shown to be associated with poor prognosis.
In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ErbB-2/HER-2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ErbB-2/HER-2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
