The ErbB3 erbb3 (Catalog #MBS212132) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s ErbB3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Frozen*, ELISA (EIA), Flow cytometry (FC/FACS)*, Immunoprecipitation (IP).Immunohistology - Frozen: Application Note: The epitope recognised by this antibody is reported to be sensitive to formaldehyde fixation and tissue processing. MyBioSource recommends the use of acetone fixation for frozen sections. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ErbB3 erbb3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ErbB3 erbb3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #54792102) (NCBI Accession #NP_001005915.1) (Uniprot Accession #P21860). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Mouse anti Human ErbB3 antibody, clone SGP1 recognizes human Receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-3, also known as Proto-oncogene-like protein c-ErbB-3 or Tyrosine kinase-type cell surface receptor HER3. ErbB3 is a 1342 amino acid ~180 kDa glycoprotein containing a single protein kinase domain. Five isoforms of Erb-B3 are generated by alternative splicing. Mouse anti Human ErbB3 antibody, clone SGP1 recognizes a conformation dependent epitope on the extracellular protein core of ErbB3 rather than a carbohydrate moiety created during post-translational modification. ErbB3 is expressed widely in normal human tissues, but is over expressed in some tumours, including those of the breast, stomach, pancreas and colon (Lemoine et al. 1992). Mutations in the ERBB3 gene can lead to development of Lethal congenital contractural syndrome type 2, associated with atrophy of the spinal cord (Narkis et al. 2007).
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.09% Sodium Azide
Preparation: Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography on Protein G from tissue culture supernatant. Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline
Target Species: Human. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ErbB3 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ErbB3 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Adenocarcinoma, Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Disease Models, Animal, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasm Metastasis, Neoplasms, Experimental, Nervous System Diseases, Ovarian Neoplasms, Prostatic Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to MOUSE ANTI HUMAN ErbB3. ErbB3 also interacts with the following gene(s): EGF, EGFR, ERBB2, GRB2, NRG1, NRG2, PA2G4, RNF41, SHC1.
