The FABP6 fabp6 (Catalog #MBS2544380) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti HumanFABP6 Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s FABP6 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Flow Cyometry (FC/FACS).Flow Cytometry: 0.5-2 mug/Test
ICC/IF: 10-25 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FABP6 fabp6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The FABP6 fabp6 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #6691917) (Uniprot Accession #P51161). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Gastrotropin, also known as Fatty acid-binding protein 6, Ileal lipid-binding protein, ILBP, Intestinal 15 kDa protein, Intestinal bile acid-binding protein, I-BABP and FABP6, is a cytoplasm protein which belongs to thecalycin superfamily and Fatty-acid binding protein (FABP) family. Isoform2 of FABP6 is expressed in colorectal adenocarcinomas and their adjacent normal mucosa (at protein level). Isoform1of FABP6 is expressed in the jejunum, ileum, cecum and ascending colon intestine. Isoform2is expressed in the gallbladder, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, cecum, ascending, transverse and descending colon, sigmoid colon and rectum. FABP6/I-BABP is a cancer-related protein that acts as an intracellular transporter of bile acid in the ileal epithelium. FABP6/I-BABP may also play an important role in early carcinogenesis.
Immunogen: Recombinant Human FABP6/ILBP/I-BABP protein
Buffer: 0.2 mum filtered solution in PBS. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing FABP6 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as FABP6 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. FABP6 also interacts with the following gene(s): ABCC3, NR1H4, SLC10A2. Atherosclerosis, Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2, Fatty Liver, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Liver Neoplasms, Experimental, Neoplasm Metastasis, Neoplasms, Experimental are some of the diseases may be linked to Rabbit anti HumanFABP6 Monoclonal Antibody. Brain, Connective Tissue, Eye, Kidney, Lymph, Ovary, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein.
