The FBLN5 fbln5 (Catalog #MBS850096) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FBLN5 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s FBLN5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA).WB: 1:500-1:2000
IHC: 1:200-1:1000
ELISA: 1:10000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FBLN5 fbln5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The FBLN5 fbln5 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #19743803) (NCBI Accession #NP_006320.2) (Uniprot Accession #Q9UBX5). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the FBLN5 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Figure 1: Western blot analysis using FBLN5 mouse mAb against truncated FBLN5-His recombinant protein.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Figure 2: Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human colon cancer (left) and breast cancer (right) showing cytoplasmic localization with DAB staining using FBLN5 mouse mAb.)
FBLN5: fibulin 5. The protein is a secreted, extracellular matrix protein containing an Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) motif and calcium-binding EGF-like domains. It promotes adhesion of endothelial cells through interaction of integrins and the RGD motif. It is prominently expressed in developing arteries but less so in adult vessels. However, its expression is reinduced in balloon-injured vessels and atherosclerotic lesions, notably in intimal vascular smooth muscle cells and endothelial cells. Therefore, the protein encoded by this gene may play a role in vascular development and remodeling.
Immunogen: Purified recombinant fragment of FBLN5 (aa242-448) expressed in E. Coli. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing FBLN5 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as FBLN5 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. FBLN5 also interacts with the following gene(s): LOXL1, SOD3. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Bone, Connective Tissue, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Heart, Lung, Muscle, Skin, Uterus, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. CUTIS LAXA, AUTOSOMAL DOMINANT 1, Cardiovascular Diseases, Emphysema, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Lung Neoplasms, Macular Degeneration, Age-Related, 3, Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases, Vascular Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to FBLN5 Antibody.
