The FCN1 n/a (Catalog #MBS2544119) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti HumanFCN1 Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s FCN1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin.IHC-P: 1-10 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FCN1 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The FCN1 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #71896127). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Ficolins are humoral molecules of the innate immune systems which recognize carbohydrate molecules on pathogens, apoptotic and necrotic cells. The Ficolin family of proteins are characterized by the presence of a leader peptide, a short N-terminal segment, followed by a collagen-like region, and a C-terminal fibrinogen-like domain. Ficolins are humoral molecules of the innate immune systems which recognize carbohydrate molecules on pathogens, apoptotic and necrotic cells. Three Ficolins have been identified in humans: L-Ficolin, H-Ficolin and M-Ficolin (also referred to as Ficolin-2, -3 and -1, respectively). They are soluble oligomeric defence proteins with lectin-like activity and they are structurally similar to the human collectins, mannan-binding lectin (MBL) and surfactant protein An and D. Dysfunction or abnormal expressions of Ficolins may involved in the pathogenesis of human diseases including infectious and inflammatory diseases, autoimmune disease and clinical syndrome of preeclampsia. They are soluble oligomeric defence proteins with lectin-like activity and they are structurally similar to the human collectins, mannan-binding lectin (MBL) and surfactant protein An and D. Upon recognition of the infectious agent, the Ficolins act through two distinct routes: initiate the lectin pathway of complement activation through attached serine proteases (MASPs), and a primitive opsonophagocytosis thus limiting the infection and concurrently orchestrating the subsequent adaptive clonal immune response. Ficolin-1 (FCN1) is predominantly expressed in the peripheral blood leukocytes.

Buffer: 0.2 mum filtered solution in PBS with 5% trehalose. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing FCN1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as FCN1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
