The Filensin bfsp1 (Catalog #MBS5309964) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s Filensin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Filensin bfsp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The Filensin bfsp1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #2746767) (NCBI Accession #AAB94939.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Filensin has two major component BFSP1 and BESP2. The filensin gene is mapped at 20p12.1-p11.23. The sequence of the predicted 665-amino acid human protein is 62% and 50% identical to those of bovine and chicken filensin, respectively. However, it has less than 26% identity to other members of the intermediate filament (IF) family.
Immunogen: Filensin antibody was raised in mouse using human and bovine lens filament enriched fraction (plasma membrane-cytoskeleton complex) as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Filensin are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Filensin may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Filensin also interacts with the following gene(s): BFSP2. Eye Abnormalities are some of the diseases may be linked to Filensin antibody. Eye tissues are correlated with this protein.
