The FLT3 flt3 (Catalog #MBS600282) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Flt3 (Fms-like Tyrosine Kinase 3, FLT-3, CD135, FL Cytokine Receptor, FLK2, Fms-related Tyrosine Kinase 3, Stem Cell Tyrosine Kinase 1, STK1, STK-1, Tyrosine-protein Kinase Receptor FLT3) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Flt3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.
Dilution: Immunoprecipiation: 1:100
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:100
Western Blot: 1:1000; Bands at 130 and 160kD. 130kD - Non-glycosylated form; 160kD - Mature, glycosylated form. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FLT3 flt3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The FLT3 flt3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #406323) (NCBI Accession #CAA81393.1) (Uniprot Accession #P36888). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Testing Data
FMS-related tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3, also called Flk2), is a member of the type III receptor tyrosine kinase family, which includes c-Kit, PDGFR and M-CSF receptors. FLT3 is expressed on early hematopoietic progenitor cells and supports growth and differentiation within the hematopoietic system. FLT3 is activated after binding with its ligand FL, which results in a cascade of tyrosine autophosphorylation and tyrosine phosphorylation of downstream targets. The p85 subunit of PI3 kinase, SHP2, GRB2 and Shc are associated with FLT3 after FL stimulation. Tyr589/591 is located in the juxtamembrane region of FLT3 and may play an important role in regulation of FLT3 tyrosine kinase activity. Somatic mutations of FLT3 consisting of internal tandem duplications (ITDs) occur in 20% of patients with acute myeloid leukemia.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to the sequence surrounding Ser740 of human FLT3 (KLH). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing FLT3 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as FLT3 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
