The GABBR2 gabbr2 (Catalog #MBS476509) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-GABBR2 Mouse mAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s GABBR2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GABBR2 gabbr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The GABBR2 gabbr2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #40255245) (NCBI Accession #NP_005449.5) (Uniprot Accession #O75899). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Entrez Summary: The multi-pass membrane protein encoded by this gene belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 3 family and GABA-B receptor subfamily. The GABA-B receptors inhibit neuronal activity through G protein-coupled second-messenger systems, which regulate the release of neurotransmitters, and the activity of ion channels and adenylyl cyclase. This receptor subunit forms an active heterodimeric complex with GABA-B receptor subunit 1, neither of which is effective on its own. Allelic variants of this gene have been associated with nicotine dependence.
Immunogen: Purified recombinant fragment of human GABBR2 (AA: 319-483) expressed in E Coli. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GABBR2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GABBR2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Autistic Disorder, Brain Diseases, Cognition Disorders, Disease Models, Animal, Drug Toxicity, Movement Disorders, Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases, Seizures, Weight Loss are some of the diseases may be linked to Anti-GABBR2 Mouse mAb. GABBR2 also interacts with the following gene(s): GABBR1. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
