The GADD45alpha gadd45a (Catalog #MBS475149) is an Antibody produced from MouseSource: Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-GADD45alpha Mouse mAb reacts with Transfected and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s GADD45alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).
WB: 1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GADD45alpha gadd45a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The GADD45alpha gadd45a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #315075323) (NCBI Accession #NP_001186670.1) (Uniprot Accession #P24522). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-GADD45alpha Mouse mAb with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot detection of GADD45 alpha in CHO-K1 cell lysate (B)and CHO-K1 transfected by GADD45 alpha His fusion protein (A)cell lysate using GADD45 alpha mouse mAb (1:1000 diluted). Predicted band size:22KDa. Observed band size:22KDa.)
Entrez Summary: This gene is a member of a group of genes whose transcript levels are increased following stressful growth arrest conditions and treatment with DNA-damaging agents. The protein encoded by this gene responds to environmental stresses by mediating activation of the p38/JNK pathway via MTK1/MEKK4 kinase. The DNA damage-induced transcription of this gene is mediated by both p53-dependent and -independent mechanisms. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene. (provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010).
Immunogen: Purified recombinant human GADD45 alpha protein expressed in E Coli
Sensitivity: Transfected Only.
Sequence Similarities: Belongs to the GADD45 family. Subunit Structure: Interacts with MAPK14. Predominantly monomeric but also forms dimers and other oligomers as concentration increases. Interacts with GADD45GIP1. Interacts weakly with PCNA. Interacts with AURKA, likely to compete with dimerization.
Subcellular Location: Nucleus. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GADD45alpha are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GADD45alpha may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Bone, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Prostate, Skin, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
