The GARS gars (Catalog #MBS1750025) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-GARS Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s GARS can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB).WB: 1:1000-1:2000
IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GARS gars for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The GARS gars product has the following accession number(s) (GI #943350815) (NCBI Accession #NP_001303701.1) (Uniprot Accession #P41250). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-GARS Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of GARS expression in (1) Jurkat cell lysate; (2) 293T cell lysate (MBS1750025).
Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel) / 90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 50ug of sample under reducing conditions.
After Electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a Nitrocellulose membrane at 150mA for 50-90 minutes. Blocked the membrane with 5% Non-fat Milk/ TBS for 1.5 hour at RT. The membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-GARS monoclonal antibody overnight at 4 degree C, then washed with TBS-0.1%Tween 3 times with 5 minutes each and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:10000 for 1.5 hour at RT. The signal is developed using an Enhanced Chemiluminescent detection (ECL) kit with Tanon 5200 system. A specific band was detected for GARS )
Catalyzes the attachment of glycine to tRNA(Gly). Is also able produce diadenosine tetraphosphate (Ap4A), an universal pleiotropic signaling molecule needed for cell regulation pathways, by direct condensation of 2 ATPs.
Immunogen: A synthesized peptide derived from human GARS
Subcellular Localization: Cytoplasm. Mitochondrion. Cell projection, axon. Associated with granules in cultured neuron cells.
Tissue Specificity: Widely expressed, including brain and spinal cord. Contents: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GARS are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GARS may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
