The GPC3 gpc3 (Catalog #MBS8527615) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Monoclonal Antibody to GPC3 reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s GPC3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemisty (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC), Western Blot (WB).EIA: 1/200-1/1000
ICC: 1/200-1/1000
IHC-P: 1/200-1/1000
FC: 1/200-1/400
WB: 1/500-1/2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GPC3 gpc3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The GPC3 gpc3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #257471010) (NCBI Accession #NP_001158091.1) (Uniprot Accession #P51654). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Cell surface heparan sulfate proteoglycans are composed of a membrane-associated protein core substituted with a variable number of heparan sulfate chains. Members of the glypican-related integral membrane proteoglycan family (GRIPS) contain a core protein anchored to the cytoplasmic membrane via a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol linkage. These proteins may play a role in the control of cell division and growth regulation. The protein encoded by this gene can bind to and inhibit the dipeptidyl peptidase activity of CD26, and it can induce apoptosis in certain cell types. Deletion mutations in this gene are associated with Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome, also known as Simpson dysmorphia syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Immunogen: Purified recombinant fragment of human GPC3 expressed in E.Coli. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GPC3 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GPC3 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
