The HIST1H4A hist1h4a (Catalog #MBS7110770) is a Recombinant Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mono-methyl-Histone H4 (K16) Antibody reacts with Human, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Mono-methyl-Histone H4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunofluorescence (IF).IF: 1:30-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HIST1H4A hist1h4a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The HIST1H4A hist1h4a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #77539758) (NCBI Accession #NP_001029249.1) (Uniprot Accession #P62805). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given recombinant antibody. We\'ve tested the Mono-methyl-Histone H4 (K16) Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence staining of Hela cells with MBS7110770 at 1:50, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4 degree C.The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).)
Core component of nucleosome. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling.
Immunogen: A synthesized peptide. Conjugation: Non-conjugated
Buffer: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
