|The HPGD hpgd (Catalog #MBS533297) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HPGD antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s HPGD can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).
WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HPGD hpgd for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The HPGD hpgd product has the following accession number(s) (GI #31542939) (NCBI Accession #NP_000851) (Uniprot Accession #P15428). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the HPGD antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (Western Blot analysis using HPGD antibody
Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant HPGD protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with HPGD antibody)
Mouse monoclonal HPGD antibody.
Biological Significance: HPGD is a member of the short-chain nonmetalloenzyme alcohol dehydrogenase protein family. The encoded enzyme is responsible for the metabolism of prostaglandins, which function in a variety of physiologic and cellular processes such as inflammation. Mutations in this gene result in primary autosomal recessive hypertrophic osteoarthropathy and cranioosteoarthropathy. Immunogen: HPGD antibody was raised in mouse using a full length recombinant protein of human HPGD (NP_000851) produced in HEK293T cells, as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing HPGD are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as HPGD may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Arthritis, Rheumatoid, Breast Neoplasms, Fetal Growth Retardation, Fibrosis, Gastrointestinal Diseases, HYPERTROPHIC OSTEOARTHROPATHY, PRIMARY, AUTOSOMAL RECESSIVE, 1, Inflammation, Osteoarthropathy, Primary Hypertrophic, Pain, Prostatic Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to HPGD antibody. Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Intestine, Lung, Muscle, Placenta, Prostate, Skin, Stomach, Uterus tissues are correlated with this protein. HPGD also interacts with the following gene(s): HPGDS, LTC4S, MMP9, NFIL3, PTGR1, PTGS2, SLCO2A1.
