Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the HSD17B10 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant HSD17B10 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with HSD17B10 antibody)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of HSD17B10 protein in paraffin embedded Human liver tissue using HSD17B10 antibody)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected with recombinant HSD17B10 protein using HSD17B10 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal HSD17B10 antibody.
Biological Significance: HSD17B10 is a 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase type II, a member of the short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase superfamily. The gene product is a mitochondrial protein that catalyzes the oxidation of a wide variety of fattyacids, alcohols, and steroids. The protein has been implicated in the development of Alzheimer\'s disease, and mutations in the gene are the cause of 2-methyl-3-hydroxybutyryl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (MHBD). Cross-Reactivity: Human, Monkey
Immunogen: HSD17B10 antibody was raised in mouse using a full length recombinant protein of human HSD17B10 (NP_004484) produced in HEK293T cells, as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing HSD17B10 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as HSD17B10 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Brain, Heart, Intestine, Liver, Muscle, Nerve, Prostate, Testis, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. Cardiovascular Diseases, Fatty Liver, Heart Diseases, Hydroxyacyl-CoA Dehydrogenase, Type 2, Deficiency, Hyperplasia, Infertility, Male, Learning Disorders, Liver Diseases, Necrosis, Neurobehavioral Manifestations are some of the diseases may be linked to HSD17B10 antibody.
