The Hsp90 hsp90ab1 (Catalog #MBS475605) is an Antibody produced from MouseSource: Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Hsp90 reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Hsp90 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP).
WB: 1:500
ICC: 1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Hsp90 hsp90ab1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Hsp90 hsp90ab1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #431822401) (NCBI Accession #NP_001258898.1) (Uniprot Accession #P08238). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Immunocytochemistry (ICC) (Immunocytochemistry staining of HeLa cells using HSP90AB1 mouse mAb (dilution 1:100).)
Immunoprecipitation (IP) (Immunoprecipitation analysis of Hela cell lysates using Hsp90 mouse mAb.)
Entrez Summary: This gene encodes a member of the heat shock protein 90 family; these proteins are involved in signal transduction, protein folding and degradation and morphological evolution. This gene encodes the constitutive form of the cytosolic 90 kDa heat-shock protein and is thought to play a role in gastric apoptosis and inflammation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes have been identified on multiple chromosomes. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2012]
UniPort Summary Function: Molecular chaperone that promotes the maturation, structural maintenance and proper regulation of specific target proteins involved for instance in cell cycle control and signal transduction. Undergoes a functional cycle that is linked to its ATPase activity. This cycle probably induces conformational changes in the client proteins, thereby causing their activation. Interacts dynamically with various co-chaperones that modulate its substrate recognition, ATPase cycle and chaperone function.
Immunogen: Purified recombinant fragment of human HSP90AB1 expressed in E Coli.
Sensitivity: This antibody detects endogenous levels of HSP90AB1 and does not cross-react with related proteins.
Sequence Similarities: Belongs to the heat shock protein 90 family. Subunit Structure: Homodimer. Interacts with p53/TP53 (By similarity). Forms a complex with CDK6 and Hsp90/HSP90AB1. Interacts with UNC45A. Binding to UNC45A involves 2 UNC45A monomers per HSP90AB1 dimer. Interacts with CHORDC1 and DNAJC7 (By similarity). Interacts with FKBP4. May interact with NWD1 (PubMed:24681825).
Subcellular Location: Melanosome.
